Smokefree Bristol, a new smoking cessation service available to everyone across the city, has launched in Bristol this week. Provided jointly between Bristol City Council and Solutions 4 Health, the service is universal access, which means that any Bristol resident aged 12 or older is eligible to use the service and receive one-to-one support to stop smoking.
People using the service will have access to:
- Free stop smoking aids including nicotine replacement therapy, non-tobacco-industry-affiliated vapes, medication (where clinically appropriate)
- Behavioural support from trained advisors
- Support can be via telephone, in person, in a number of community clinics, and watch out for the mobile van!
- Free Quit with Bella app, with AI features and available in multiple different languages for smoking cessation support on the go.
