We are seeking a motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive general practice team for a fixed-term period of 12 months, covering maternity leave.

At Greenway Community Practice, we place great importance on continuity of care and personal GP lists, ensuring patients have the opportunity to build a relationship with their own GP wherever possible. We are equally committed to providing excellent access to appointments, combining continuity with responsive and accessible care for our patients.

The successful candidate will primarily undertake routine treatment room nursing duties, including:

• Wound care and dressings
• Cervical cytology screening
• Adult and childhood immunisations
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Other routine treatment room procedures
• Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to QOF, audit and other practice requirements

About you

We are looking for a nurse who:

• Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Is confident undertaking a range of treatment room duties
• Has experience of working in primary care and/or chronic disease management
• Has excellent communication skills and a genuinely patient-focused approach
• Is able to work confidently and independently while being a supportive team member
• Brings positivity, enthusiasm, compassion and a good sense of humour to their work

• 5 GP Partners
• 5 Salaried GPs
• 3 Clinical Pharmacists
• 4 Practice Nurses
• 4 Healthcare Assistants
• A Paramedic Practitioner
• A First Contact Physiotherapist
