Changes to Respiratory Appointments at Greenway
Introducing Easy Online Booking for Your Face-to-Face Appointments
From August 2025, most respiratory appointments at Greenway will be face-to-face rather than by telephone.
Why Face-to-Face Appointments?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, remote assessments became the norm, and we’ve continued using telephone consultations for many patients due to their convenience. However, with new respiratory guidelines in place, and to fully utilize our respiratory nursing team's expertise, more in-person appointments will allow us to provide a more comprehensive and personal approach.
This will enable us to perform breathing checks and observe your inhaler technique—both essential for effective asthma and COPD management.

New Booking Process
Also starting in August, booking your appointment will be easier than ever. Asthma patients will first receive their usual questionnaire to help us understand your needs before scheduling. For both asthma (after completing your questionnaire) and COPD patients, we will send a text with a link that allows you to book your appointment directly, at a time that suits you. This means you can book your appointment without needing to call. If you don’t have a mobile phone or prefer not to receive texts, we’ll send a letter with instructions on how to book.

Preparing for Your Appointment
When you come for your appointment, please bring your inhalers, spacer (if used), and any asthma or COPD action plans. This will help us provide the most tailored and effective care possible.
These updates are in line with both local and national respiratory guidelines. We’re excited to offer a more hands-on approach to support your health and well-being.
