Filming Clinical Procedures

We’ve noticed an increasing number of requests from patients to film clinical procedures during consultations. While we understand the desire to record for personal reference or educational purposes, it’s important to follow guidance to ensure safety, privacy, and professionalism.

NHS guidance states that filming or taking photos during clinical care requires explicit consent from all involved, including the clinician and any staff present. Patients must also be aware that recording in clinical areas may involve sensitive information about themselves or others.

Our clinicians are happy to discuss procedures and provide information, but recording is not permitted in order to protect confidentiality, maintain professional standards, and ensure a safe care environment.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and professional environment for everyone
