Patient Volunteers

Our practice has a dedicated patient volunteer group who had been very busy collecting medications from the local pharmacies and delivering them to our most vulnerable and shielding patients in the first 10 week, national lockdown.

In light of the second national lockdown, that was announced on 31st October stating that from the 5th November, we must all stay at home unless travel was essential for work, school or childcare purposes. (Further Information : Click Here) the volunteers have kindly agreed to start the delivery service again, to help support the pharmacies in getting medication to the extremely vulnerable patients.

Note : If you are in this group, you will previously have received a letter from the NHS or from your GP telling you this. You may have been advised to shield in the past.

If you are in this category and do not have friends or family, from another household that can help you with this, then please contact us, so we can arrange for the volunteers to collect and deliver your medication.

Note : You will have needed to contact your pharmacy prior to calling us to request your medication. Please obtain the date the medication will be ready to collect from the pharmacy assistant.

When calling us to arrange the delivery the receptionist will ask you some questions to help assist the volunteers. You must also consent to your contact details to be passed on to the volunteer, in order for them to proceed with the service.

This service is only available to patient who do not pay for their prescriptions or have a pre paid certificate.
