Our Appointment System

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

Surgery and clinic attendance is by appointment only.

We have a personal list system and you will be offered an appointment with your usual doctor. If you need to be seen more quickly, the Care Navigator may offer you an appointment with another doctor.  However generally we would anticipate you wait to see your usual doctor. Working within our current staffing capacity we are doing our best to ensure that you have access to additional appointments outside of our core hours. Therefore GP appointments are now available during the evenings and at the weekend.

As a result you may be offered an early morning or evening appointment. If this is something you would prefer please ask about availability when booking an appointment. Appointments may be made in person, online or by telephone during surgery hours. Whilst we operate with a personalised list, every effort will be made if you need to see a male/female GP at any time.

How To Book Your Appointment

If you need medical advice outside our opening hours please ring NHS 111. They will direct you to the most appropriate service including out of hours doctors and nurses. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:30pm. The surgery is open: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm.

Extended Hours

The Practice offers extended hours appointments beyond our own already wide choice of appointment times. These additional appointments are available only to those patients who have difficulty accessing routine care with their own Doctor within the usual hours advertised. These will be available with your own usual Doctor on a weekly basis as well as additional nurse and HCA appointments.

Telephone Consultations

If you require advice or information, or wish to pass a message to your Doctor, please contact Patient Services. The Care Navigator may offer you a telephone consultation with your doctor or a nurse. This would be helpful if requested before 11am. You will need to give a reason for your telephone request so the GP’s can prioritise their list of telephone calls.  Please check with Patient Services that we have the correct telephone number for you.

Please note we will not be able to take medication requests on the phone. If you have any questions regarding your medications and the Community Pharmacist cannot answer the question, then Luke or Cat our Clinical Pharmacist will deal with your query.
