Book an appointment

Surgery and clinic attendance is by appointment only. We have a personal list system and you will be offered an appointment with your usual doctor. If you need to be seen more quickly, the Receptionist may offer you an appointment with another doctor.  However generally we would anticipate you wait to see your usual doctor. GP appointments are now available in your area during the evenings and at the weekend. Working within our current staffing capacity we are doing our best to ensure that you have access to additional appointments outside of our core hours.  As a result you may be offered an early morning or evening appointment. If this is something you would prefer please ask about availability when booking an appointment. To book an appointment, contact your practiceAppointments may be made in person, online or by telephone during surgery hours. Whilst we operate with a personalised list, every effort will be made if you need to see a male/female GP at any time.

Extended Hours

The Practice offers extended hours appointments beyond our own already wide choice of appointment times. These additional appointments are available only to those patients who have difficulty accessing routine care with their own Doctor within the usual hours advertised. These will be available with your own usual Doctor on a weekly basis as well as additional nurse and HCA appointments.

Home Visits

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor. If you are too ill to be brought to the surgery or if you are housebound, please phone and leave a message, before 11am. The Doctor will then ring you as soon as possible to discuss your request. Occasionally, the doctor may feel it is more appropriate for a member of the community nursing team to attend. They will always discuss this with you first.

Telephone Consultations

If you require advice or information, or wish to pass a message to your Doctor, please contact Reception. The Receptionist may offer you a telephone consultation with your doctor or a nurse. This would be helpful if requested before 11.00am. You will need to give a reason for your telephone request so the GP’s can prioritise their list of telephone calls.  Please check with reception that we have the correct telephone number for you.

Please note we will not be able to take medication requests on the phone. If you have any questions regarding your medications and your Community Pharmacist cannot answer the question the Derrick our Clinical Pharmacist will deal with your query.
